Mosh Mosh Mosh

Everyone has their element.

Their own someplace special where they feel completely at home, at ease, where their body relaxes and adapts like a fish in water. Where the mind slows and the senses buzz.

I found my element.

It was wedged between a six-foot-tall bearded 20-something man and a tattoed teenager holding a beer. It was when the drums made my insides hum and my heart thump extra loud. And when the guitar shredded through the air like millions of blades, each one grazing my skin, sending slight electric shocks through me.

It was pushing, shoving, being thrown around, jumping; my feet hitting ground with the bass drum. It was sweating and hurting, not knowing where my body ended. It was becoming one inside the crowd, throat straining to scream the lyrics as if my life depended on it. It was closing my eyes and feeling the energy.

It was letting go. It was bliss.
